DOES YOUR SCHOOL HAVE A MUSCIAL THEATRE CLUB?
We are now looking to outreach more schools within the borough and provide an after school programme, whereby students can enjoy a fun filled lesson of Musical Theatre.
To us, musical theatre isn’t just a subject of art, but a lesson to improve life skills. Within our lessons, children will practice co ordination, pronunciation, expression, speech, public speaking, thus in turn will create and build confidence within the individual.
Our School programmes consist of a watered down lesson from our Musical Theatre Saturday School. Throughout the 12 week term we educate the pupils into the world of musical theatre, by learning songs, dance routines and dialogues from some of the most loved Musicals from the West End to Broadway. Our ethos is to keep children fit, focused and fuelled to learn through practice rather than theory.
Every 3 weeks over the 12 week stint we teach the children songs, dance routines and dialogue from a particular musical, providing the children with the knowledge and content to be able to showcase a small performance at the end of the 3 lessons to each other. The process is repeated, 4 times a term, with the children learning material from 4 separate musicals.
In addition to our after school programmes we can also tailor make classes to aid your schools/nurseries curriculum. For example if there is a particular field in which you feel would benefit children from learning through performance, then Love Theatre Arts would be happy to sit down and plan a lesson surrounding your key points you wish for your pupils to learn about. We can adapt our lessons to fit with what you as a school are learning. A good example of this, was recently we were invited to a nursery, to help them teach their students all about nursery rhymes, their main goal for the children was to learn all about storytelling. We constructed a lesson with fun drama based games (that engaged the children from start to finish) that surrounded the key points of achieving our main objective of storytelling. The lesson was a huge success and we were asked to return to take further classes. It is important to us that we develop and form a great relationship with our schools to ensure that what we teach is relevant and helpful to both school and pupil.
The training/teaching our teachers will be showing towards the children is nothing short of what they have been taught themselves. All of our teachers are industry professionals that have previously graduated from prestigious dance/ drama schools within their fields of expertise. All of our teachers have had many years of experience teaching children of all ages. All Love Theatre Arts faculty hold a valid Enhanced DBS check and are First Aid Trained.
In regards to promoting the after school club, we would supply schools/nurseries with leaflets, letters and other promotional tools to ensure that your pupils are aware that a Love Theatre Arts club will be starting. This being said we would appreciate any extra help to promoting Love Theatre Arts in any newsletters, you may send out to your students.
Our 1 Hour class, accounts to £5 a lesson and can be paid in 2 ways.
Please note: If a Bank Holiday, or Inset day falls on After School club days then a deduction in fee cost will be issued.
Half termly (6 Weeks) – £30
Full Termly (12 weeks) – £60
For schools that wish to pay outright, a fee of £50 per hour/per lesson would be charged.
